Musician, musicologist and multidisciplinary artist settled in Barcelona, Tres was a member of the seminal industrial "collagists" La T, defined by Tres himself as "a silence that makes the dogs barking" (T - "Dark Fields", Klamm Records, 1983). Later, he turned to be the main vocalist in Klamm, a band with a clear kingcrimsonian inspiration, where he coincided with another slap-up heterodox artist, Leo Mariño (Klamm - "Africa roja", 1983). Then, he composed the national hymn (so he received the honourable title of the Enestir of Sounds) of Evrugo Mental State, the alternative world of Zush, a painter whom he recorded an album in 1989 (Zush.Tres - "Evrugo Mental State", GASA, 1989). In 1985 he founds U.M.B.N. Aleatoria, a "changing" band created to experience with the silence, in which he and Gat (bass) are the stable only members.
After a long phase of sparse activity, he returned with Muted 98 and 99, two installations/festivals centered in the phenomenon of the silence, that they took place in the CCCB (Barcelona) and that they were inaugurated with two silent cocktails.
In 1999 he founds Silence Science, an electronic record label oriented to emphasize the importance of the silence in a not only musical but also existential context. In June of 2002, in the day of the music, Tres gave a silent concert with the Municipal Band of Barcelona without being listened neither a note during the 30 minutes that lasted.
His silent concerts, performed since 2000, have been made during the process of turning off all the sounds in a place until coming to absolute silence as much as this is possible. They led us to the surgical investigation of our hearing lives. Everything that creates sound in public or domestic places is used. Through the gradual process of turning off any continuous sound, we discover a landscape of sound with a strong presence of silence. The final destiny of this process is to relocate silence in its natural place, then the quality of listening is perfect.

"Tres has been investigating during many years the possibilities that the silence offers in the construction of the sonorous space, and finally he has created a label, Silence Science, 'possibly the only lebel of the globe that is in charge of the silence, a platform for any musician of the world that desire to experience with the silence'.../... The main contribution from Tres to this sonorous redefinition of the silence, has been to approach the present electronic music, environment in which move the two first references published by his record label. The first one, 'High Volume Silence', is result of the contact that Tres maintains with some of the more prestigious international dj´s.../... As for the second reference of the label, '67' of S.i.l.e.n.c.e.', is a work published by Tres, in which the silence serves of mortar to a stimulating conglomerate of chamber music, techno, voices, drum´n´bass, concrete music, noises of telephones and motor, pop and ambient." (Luis Lles - EL PAIS DE LAS TENTACIONES)
