Los Super-Asesinos is one of the many pseudonyms under which Paco
Alcázar records his music. Although he was born in 1970 in Cádiz,
Alcázar has lived in Barcelona since childhood, combining his activities
as a cartoonist and as a musician.
In 1994, and after the dissolution of his group Henderson Faith,
he started to record his own music under the name of Funnier Than
Suicide. In that way Alcázar published many demos with more than
120 songs in which he mixes up pop, noise, experimentation, rap,
surf and many imaginable styles, being these always treated in a
very "domestic" way.
At the same time, he created other ghost bands such as Black Beethoven
(devoted to dance and the owner of an abundant work); he collaborated
with Frank Rank in the ultra-agressive formation Dmembers; he founded
Humbert Humbert (Martian and noisy blues) with the also cartoonist
Miguel B. Núñez, and he usually accompanies punk-rollers
Hell Brains on their concerts.
Nowadays, his solo music has appeared in two compilatories published
by the discographic company Subterfuge: "Return of the Living Freaks"
and "Freak Sounds from Outter Space", where, apart from contributing
with his themes, he is in charge of creating sonorous collages composed
by many dialogues from many famous films.
His main project right now is Los Super-Asesinos. Under this name,
Alcázar records most of his cinematographic and ambient music, where
you can find jazz, orchestration, groovy... Los Super-Asesinos invite
the audience to close their eyes and imagine themselves within a
film, a serial, a TV show or a state of mind of any kind that is
evoked by their music.
