Under the enigmatic name of Druhb it is hidden Jaime Munárriz and Javier Piñango's new project, which is parallel to their other works as Destroy Mercedes.
Druhb combines digital and analogical elements, fractured micro-rhythms and minimal melodic landscapes, dense layers of ambient sounds.
Druhb is also characterised for being a project specially directed to live concerts and towards its possibilites of extra tension, improvisation and non-repetition. Their first album, "Cone Of Silence" (2002, published by Geometrik Records), come exclusively from their live performances of the period 2000-2001.
Between 2002 and 2005 they have published several tracks in different compilations of experimental electronic music. Already in 2005 they have edited on Hazard Records a new CD presenting the soundtrack for Alvaro Luna’s reworking of Fritz Lang’s “Doctor Mabuse".
Together or separately, Jaime Munárriz and Javier Piñango also have an ample experience like dj's. As much as Druhb Dj's or in solitaire, respectively under the names of Doctor Professor Munárriz or F Metamars, their not at all conventional sessions are characterized by the mixture of own bases with sampled loops, CDs and microelectronic structures.

"Druhb recreates magnificent electronic atmospheres, rhythms for the horizontal dance and magnetic mantras built with the MS20 synth. A sample of which ambient also can make a damage pleasant and is not synonymous of cloying." (Silvia Grijalba - LA LUNA - EL MUNDO)

"An environmental cocktail of textures and layers that are so ethereal and dense that almost fleets on music. Peculiar combinations of house industrialist ('mHorv'), robotic symphonies ('palpit') and organic ('undercobalt') and monumental interstellar trips of ten minutes like 'druhb bhdti'. Brilliant… and recorded live!." (Manuel López - FUTURE MUSIC)

"In Druhb ambient and minimalist rhythmic structures are fused in order to create a more calculated music, exploring sonic tension and improvisation and yet striving to break free from contemporary labeling. Magnificently illustrating these features, their first CD 'Cone of Silence' (Geometrik, 2002) features the duo's evolution through a resume of their last two years' concerts. Thus we are faced with a constantly changing, present-bound music." (LEM 2002 Programme)
