Jaime Munárriz is part of Druhb, a duo of electronic experimental music. But his long experience starts at the beginning of the eighties, as bass player and writer of Los Monaguillosh (Madrid), group half way between after-punk and psychedelic sounds. Afterwards he concentrated on production (he worked with the first hip-hop Spanish groups) and plastic arts. By the end of the eighties, he joint the group Cerdos. He was one of the founders of the record company Triquinoise, created in 1990, and went on working as a producer an contributing to groups like Mil Dolores Pequeños.
In 1994 he creates together with Javier Piñango the duo Destroy Mercedes with the intention of mixing psychedelic sounds and electronic experimentation, that makes them be close to groups like Suicide, Residents, Devo and most german rock groups from the senventies with occasional influences from Syd Barrett or Magazine.
1999 was the transition year that made him evolute to Druhb, the new project with Javier Piñango. Their first album under this name is called "Cone Of Silence" (Geometrik Records): electronic music with a mixture between mental and emotional, treated under the influence of broken micro-rhythms and manipulated under dense layers of ambient sounds.
As Dj, under the name Doctor Professor Munárriz, he mix his own bases with sampled loops, CDs and microelectronic structures.
