Balago (Barcelona) is a trio composed by David Crespo (guitar, programming,
sampler), Jordi Soldevila (guitar, programming) and Guim Serradesanferm
(sequencing, sampler, synthesizers). His sound grows from an exciting
raid through an introspective universe, a repertory of desolate
atmospheres and dark frequencies. High capacity instrumental music,
with a remarkable twilight like accent. Emotional and pendulous
music, extremely subtle and dense.
Balago is nowadays one of the most round realities of the spanish
music scene. Their CD "Erm" (Foehn Records), published in 2001,
contains remote echoes from Tortoise or Flying Saucer Attack, deepness
and static density, they got unanimous good critics, been outstanded
as one of the best records from that year.
Their second album is "El segon pis" (Foehn Records).

"The music of Balago evokes incessant images, and
with its silences and cadences, its organic atmospheres and its
electric sepulchres, fills those black spaces that the retina refuses
to see." (Quim Casas - ROCK DE LUX)
"They are capable of forming brilliant sonic landscapes;
evocative and of indubitable expressiveness, as close to Seefeel
or Labradford as Tortoise or Piano magic." (MONDO
SONORO)
