The fifth edition of Experimentaclub took place at La Casa Encendida (Madrid) from the 5th to the 9th of October 2005. Experimentaclub is a festival that each year exhibits at La Casa Encendida the main international artists of the experimental music scene. A date consolidated year after year, a meeting point for artists, audience and media characterised by an always eclectic and open character: electronic sounds, free appropiation, improvisation, avant-pop, minimalism…; risk and search being the main creative motors.

Organized by Experimentaclub and La Nota Producciones, with the sponsorship of Obra Social from CajaMadrid that also provides the emplacement, Experimentaclub presented in this fifth edition a balanced program which included from legendary names inside experimentation, such as Psychic TV (Genesis P-Orridge), Richard H. Kirk (ex-Cabaret Voltaire) or Borbetomagus, to a wide selection of the newer and more interesting artists and tendencies. From Pluramon (Marcus Schmickler) to People Like Us (Vicki Bennett), going through To Rococo Rot, Tujiko Noriko, Vert (Adam Butler) or Parker & Lily. Without forgetting Gert-Jan Prins or the Polish Gameboyzz Orchestra Project. Besides an spectacular final date with J.G. Thirlwell (also known as Foetus) closing the festival on Sunday 9th October with an unexpected and definitively shocking Dj session. And of course, as always in Experimentaclub, an encounter with the most unclassified and innovating Spanish artists: from the performance of classics, such as Orfeón Gagarin (Miguel A. Ruiz) or Victor Nubla (this time as a Dj), to the discovery of new proposals, like the show by Dargelos, to A Cunt On Fmol, Truna's invented instruments or the always interesting cocktail of electronic sound and images of Alain Wergifosse.

Besides, Dj's and Vj's created, day after day at the courtyard of La Casa Encendida, a wide space dedicated to unconventional listening and vision. Without forgetting the new proposals and contents presented for the first time in this fifth edition: "Ideas - conversations about musical alternatives" and the Tiny Festival (Festival Minúsculo), a proposal dedicated entirely to tiny formats where the intimacy shared between the artist and the audience is essential. Extreme minimalism and improvisation with Pablo Rega, Nilo Gallego, Ruth Barberán and Ferran Fages.
